Seoul-born and Jersey raised, John Kim is an aspiring figurative sculptor. He earned a BFA from the Cooper Union (NYC) in 2001 and began a career as a graphic designer. John first became interested in figurative sculpture as a hobby, taking night classes at local schools. The hobby grew into a passion, and eventually lead him to the Florence Academy of Art where he spent three years training in sculpture and drawing.
John graduated from the academy in 2016 and returned home to sunny California. He lives, works and plays in the Bay Area where he continues to improve his craft and explore his love of the figure.
